Mobile Car Detailing contract template
A short service agreement protects you and the vehicle owner, and matters more than it might seem since you're working on someone's often-expensive property, sometimes while they're not present.
Scope of services and package tiers
List exactly what's included at each package level (exterior wash, interior vacuum/wipe-down, full detail, paint correction, ceramic coating) and what costs extra, like pet hair removal or excessive stain treatment.
Arrival window and cancellation policy
State the appointment window, your cancellation notice requirement, and a late-cancel or no-show fee to cover the lost route slot and any water/power you arranged in advance.
Vehicle condition disclosure
Have the owner disclose pre-existing damage (scratches, dents, worn upholstery, stains) before you start, ideally with photos, so no one disputes it afterward.
Water and power access
Confirm whether the client provides water/power hookup or you'll run self-contained (water tank and generator) — this affects both your pricing and how long the job takes.
Liability and insurance
Note that you carry general liability and garagekeepers coverage, and clarify responsibility for pre-existing vs. new damage claims.
Payment terms
Specify the rate, when payment is due (typically at completion), accepted payment methods, and any travel surcharge for distance beyond your normal route.
This is general guidance, not legal advice. Consider having a local attorney review your final agreement.
