House Cleaning contract template

A simple service agreement sets expectations on scope, access, and payment before you set foot in someone's home.

Scope of cleaning

List rooms and tasks included (e.g. baseboards, inside oven, windows) and what costs extra.

Access arrangements

Document how you'll enter (key, code, client present) and what to do if you can't get in.

Cancellation and rescheduling policy

Require minimum notice and define a late-cancellation fee to protect your schedule.

Supplies and equipment

State whether you bring your own products/vacuum or use the client's, and who's responsible for restocking.

Damage policy and insurance

Clarify how breakage or damage claims are handled and note your liability insurance coverage.

Payment terms

Specify rate, due date (day-of vs invoiced), accepted payment methods, and recurring-client billing cadence.

This is general guidance, not legal advice. Consider having a local attorney review your final agreement.
