Lawn Care & Mowing contract template
A short written agreement keeps recurring lawn customers clear on schedule and price, and protects you if equipment ever damages property.
Scope of services
List exactly what's included per visit: mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing off hard surfaces, and which add-ons (fertilization, weed control, leaf cleanup) cost extra.
Schedule and weather policy
State your normal mowing day/window, how rain delays are handled, and your policy for skipped cuts during drought or winter dormancy.
Property access
Document gate codes, pet containment, and where to leave invoices or notes, plus what to do if the property is inaccessible on the scheduled day.
Damage and liability
Clarify responsibility for pre-existing hazards (hidden sprinkler heads, debris) versus damage caused by your equipment, and note that you carry general liability insurance.
Cancellation and end-of-season terms
Specify notice required to cancel or pause recurring service, and how the relationship winds down or pauses for winter in colder climates.
Payment terms
Specify per-visit rate, billing cadence (per cut vs. monthly), accepted payment methods, and late-payment policy.
This is general guidance, not legal advice. Consider having a local attorney review your final agreement.
