Babysitting & Childcare contract template
A simple written agreement (even a one-page one) sets expectations on duties, safety, and payment so there's no ambiguity when you're the only adult in the house.
Scope of care
List the children's names/ages, hours of care, and duties included (meals, baths, homework help, light tidying) vs. not included (deep cleaning, other errands).
Schedule and cancellation policy
State your cancellation notice requirement and any late-cancellation, no-show, or late-pickup fee.
Emergency authorization and medical info
Get written permission to seek emergency medical care, plus allergies, medications, and pediatrician contact info before the first booking.
House rules and off-limits activities
Note screen-time limits, food restrictions, and whether you're authorized to drive the children anywhere.
Safety and background check disclosure
State whether you carry liability insurance and have a current background check/CPR certification on file.
Payment terms
Specify hourly rate, any additional-child or late-night surcharge, day/overnight flat rates, and accepted payment methods.
This is general guidance, not legal advice. Consider having a local attorney review your final agreement.
